This is a summary of some of my past travels and life's stories --

Wednesday, 18 May, 2011,
Looks like I'll be enjoying the four walls of a B&B room for today. Woke up to more horizontal rain and very strong, gusty winds. I don't want to get caught in the situation I was in yesterday. They say "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Well yesterday I got a whole lot stronger!
Tuesday, 17 May 2011,
Made it to Julian. Even slower ride than yesterday. Wanted to ride 60 miles but mother nature disagreed. Managed to do 31.1 miles in hurricane winds, horizontal rain and freezing cold. Slowest average speed I have ever done. Took six and a half hours!

Left Tecate, at the Mexican border at 2:15pm today. Rode 30.1 miles, all uphill, today. It looks like this week is going to be cold for a bicycle ride. On the motorcycle, I just plug in the riding suit and turn up the thermostat when it gets cold. Not so on the bicycle. Oh well.

My April 2011 ride to Cabo San Lucas --

APRIL 3, another long day but the ride went fairly quick. Stopprd for lunch in San Ignacio, one of my favorite places. Then a ride down the beautiful coast of the Sea of Cortez and into Loreto. Here we stay at another great hotel. Walked the length of the town and had some ice cream. Tomorrow we expect to make a stop in La Paz for a short visit and then on to Cabo San lucas. I'll try to add some pictures in the next few days.
APRIL 2, a short day today. First rode about 40 miles to have breakfast at Mama Espinosa'a in El Rosario. Then on to Bahia de Los Angeles. Arrived early afternoon so had a leisurely day.
APRIL 1, long day today. Rode from Inyokern, California to San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico. In past years we used to stay at some real "rustic" (read that as 'dumps') places. We have migrated upwards and now we usually stay at very nice hotels with all the nice ammenities. Tonight is no exception.
