A good place for lunch.

This was home for three nights in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Had a great time visiting the Crazy Horse memorial, Custer state park, Mount Rushmore, Hill City, and did a fun 10 mile bike ride along the Crooked Creek. On the way out we went through the Bad Lands and visited the famous Wall Drug.

Second day out on this trip I noticed a problem with a trailer tire. Turned out all the tires had some sort of problem so we ended up getting four new tires. The fourth day out I needed a couple new batteries. Hopefully no more problems for this trip.

Before leaving on this trip, I bought a new mountain bike. I was only able to take it out for one short ride so far. I took a 7 mile trail along the Crooked River in central Oregon.

Well, I guess I have been way too busy traveling and having fun to post anything here. I'll try to be better at that. Meanwhile, I'll post a few pictures to get you up to date. I am about to leave Grand Rapids, Michigan and continue heading east.

I guess I haven't been blogging yet this summer. To bring you up to date: I made a quick trip a part way down baja. Since my main riding buddy was unable to go with me I didn't want to go to far down, specially down the rough rocky part. A few days at home and I got an invitation to a friends birthday party on Marrowstone Island on the Olympic peninsula. So off I went. A few days visiting my neice and her husband in port Ludlow allowed me to also make the birthday party. Since then I have been in central Oregon. Soon I will head home for a short time before returning to Oregon. More later...
